I got the Molly and Friends “Feline Recliner” Premium Handmade One Tier Sisal Cat Scratching Post Furniture with Bed to keep the cats happy and our furniture intact.  This is the best investment for our pets to date.  The large bed on top is big enough for our fat cats, and both cats prefer to lay there than anywhere else in the house.

There is no assembly is required.  This feline furniture and bed is ready to use, right out of the box.  It’s a neutral beige color and blends in well with our décor.

The materials are durable, which I can attest to because we’ve had this post for about a year and it looks like new.  The carpeting is high-quality.  The scratching post is made of thick, all natural sisal rope.  There has been no damage done to our furniture or curtains since getting this great cat furniture.

The fact that the bed is made in the USA is a big plus.  I always by products made in the USA, when possible.

It’s important for cats to be able to stretch and tone their muscles by stretching up as they scratch.  This post is 35” tall, which is plenty tall for our cats, and the base is 19” by 19”.  The wide base provides plenty of support for every kind of feline activity.  The cats pounce onto the bed or the scratching post, and it hasn’t tipped over yet.  Another great things about the height is that the cats seem to love being able to look out the window or see everything that’s going on in the living room.

Pros:

  • The cats love the roomy bed. The cats absolutely love the bed on this feline furniture.  It’s big enough that when our full grown cats are stubborn and neither will leave, they fit there together, though it’s a tight squeeze.

  • Quality materials.  The carpet used on the cat bed is obviously of a high quality and the sisal rope stands up to the scratching.

  • The scratching post keeps the cats from ruining the furniture.  My cats now use the scratching post instead of my furniture.

  • Tall enough for the cats to stretch vertically.  The cats have an instinctive need to stretch their muscles and scratch, and this post is tall enough for them to stretch up as much as they want.

Cons:

  • Expensive.  This is a bit of a pricey investment for pet furniture, but when you weigh it against the cost of replacing expensive furniture, it’s a bargain.

  • I’m compelled to buy a second one. I have two cats, and they both want to lay in the bed all the time.  My kids are pressuring me to buy a second one so both cats can have their own room, and they’ve won the argument.
